Over the past 25 years, our crew has logged hundreds of air miles. We’ve established a clear position for countless brands and helped their communications take off in the process. And we’re far from feeling jet-lagged. The opposite, in fact: we’re more motivated than ever to get your brand off the ground. A quick ‘Mayday’ by phone, WhatsApp, email or social media is all we need to get the engines running.
Captain & Head of Creation, Chairman of the Board of Directors
An experienced, passionate entrepreneur. After completing extensive technical and business training, and a decade of client-side experience in sales and marketing, he has been on the runway of the Agentur am Flughafen as founder, strategist and head of creation since 1999. With almost 350 national and international creative awards, he is one of the world’s most well-known dialogue marketers. For years, he has dedicated himself to good advertising and effective, meaningful B2B and B2C marketing and sales strategies. He is also the chair or jury member for a number of awards, including the German, Austrian and Swiss dialogue marketing awards, the Caples Awards in New York and London, the German BoB Best of Business-to-Business Communication Awards, the ANA International ECHO Awards, the New York Advertising Festivals, the Shorty Awards, the Cannes Lions, the Swiss Marketing Award, the XAVER Award and the Award für Marketing & Architektur (Award for Marketing & Architecture). He has also taught around 8,000 young people on numerous advanced training courses for over 30 years. For instance, he set up the iQ ManagementCenter (1999–2017) and the Miami Ad School with his wife.
Account Director & Member of the Board of Directors, Copilot
From early childhood, his life has revolved around the Agentur am Flughafen. After all, the copious ideas flying around the agency were discussed at the dinner table too! After finishing business school in St. Gallen and several holiday jobs (most of them washing dishes) and internships at the Agentur am Flughafen and partner companies, Max initially decided to work client-side as Community Associate at Regus and Marketing Manager at Swisscom. After this experience at two major companies, he joined the family business permanently in 2018, where he has had responsibility for the majority of the company’s clients alongside studying business in St. Gallen. He also sits on the jury for a number of national and international award shows, including the Swiss Dialogue Marketing Award, the New York Advertising Festivals and the ANA International ECHO Awards. He is also co-founder of Flightcode GmbH, a spin-off of the Agentur am Flughafen specialising in the development and implementation of scalable digital platforms and products.
Pat von Engsberg-Eugster
Airport Manager & Member of the Board of Directors, HR & Finance
Our agency’s business and entrepreneurial life force. After interning in the textile sector, this talented businesswoman spent several years in office equipment and automation companies and management consultancy. Pat and her new husband set up an advertising agency in 1993. Since then, she has been a member of the administrative and executive boards of the Agentur am Flughafen. Alongside HR and finance, the fashionista and certified feng-shui consultant runs her own online and offline second-hand brand store.
Creative Director, Project Manager, Creative Use of Data & Member of the Board
After training as a graphic designer at the school of design in St. Gallen, he specialised in typography at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA. Since then, Dominique has had a penchant for the influence of Anglo-Saxon elements in advertising. He became Art and Creative Director in 2000 and has since been responsible for more than 200 awards and numerous high-flying visuals at the Agentur am Flughafen. His skills and instinct for good advertising have earned him a spot on the jury of Austria’s Columbus Award and the Swiss Dialogue Marketing Award several times. Over the years, his remit has become increasingly digital. He played a key role in the introduction and development of SBB’s SwissPass, becoming a renowned specialist in creative smart data projects in the process.
The Norwegian native attended the Westerdals School of Communication in Oslo and graduated as Art Director around 25 years ago. After stopovers at several major agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, SMFB and McCann in Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom, he touched down at the Agentur am Flughafen in 2019. Our Viking has already brought home countless awards: a ‘Gullblyanten’ (Norwegian for Golden Pencils), a Golden Lion from Cannes, several Eurobests and Clios (no, not the car) are all stashed in his ‘ryggsekk’. He remains as passionate as ever about great ideas, outstanding creativity and effective advertising. And when he isn’t reaching for new visual heights, he tours Europe as a guitarist with his band Gothminister.
Interactive Media Designer
Katie was part of the second cohort to train as an Interactive Media Designer in Switzerland. Since 2015, she has designed, developed, programmed and managed numerous digital projects at the Agentur am Flughafen. She has been studying Art Direction at the Miami Ad School in Berlin since summer 2021, while continuing to look after UX design for our digital projects and our spin-off, Flightcode GmbH, on a freelance basis.
Interactive Media Designer
He checked in at the Agentur am Flughafen as an apprentice in 2019. He then underwent advanced flight training in St. Gallen, where he set his sights on his Federal Vocational Baccalaureate. He approaches his work at the agency with an abundance of passion and enthusiasm. Thanks to his age, this sharp dresser truly has his finger on the pulse and enriches the team with his fresh outlook.
In July 2021, Moira completed her Matura at the Hohe Promenade School in Zurich and has now checked in for an internship at the agency at the airport. Before she starts university in autumn 2022, she is gaining practical experience during her stopover at the agency at the airport.
Since 2011, Sir Henry has been responsible for the safety and security of the Agentur am Flughafen and its crew. Visitors are greeted with one mighty bark, given a visual once over and then sniffed from top to bottom for treats. After this brief and somewhat unique security check, he goes back to his job, which consists of guarding the door to the agency, usually in a light doze.
Chief of Happiness
Sir Henry’s nephew (he doesn’t know this, by the way) is affectionately known as Charlie by the crew. He has a keen nose for spotting when someone needs cheering up and comforts them with a few hearty snuggles. When he’s not barking for no reason, doing his rendition of a fire brigade siren, playing or snuggling, he’s devoting himself to his passion: power napping.

We have a great passion for good stories, relevant insights and surprising implementations. We have put this to the test time and again, not only with our clients, but also at international awards. The results are impressive. In addition to increased sales with our clients, our international prize list is also impressive, with around 333 awards won between 1999 and 2019.
