On the occasion of their Transporter Tour, Mercedes-Benz provided vans in front of various professional DIY stores in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, with which the tradespeople shopping could spontaneously take a test drive. However, they did not have to drive around aimlessly in the area but could load their purchases straight into the Mercedes and bring them back to the shop or the construction site. A Mercedes employee drove behind the test driver in the old van. Two weeks after the test drive, the craftsmen were surprised with a reminder mailing. An oversized Mercedes key encouraged them to ask for a concrete offer for a Mercedes van. A high-quality Mercedes star key fob was also integrated into the mailing so the recipients could be on the road with the coveted brand symbol before buying their van.
